Replacing Ni-Cd rechargeable batteries with Ni-MH rechargeable batteries in solar lights is a better choice!

图片
Many people are asking "Can I use Ni-MH (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries in my solar street lights to have   Ni-Cd (Nickel Cadmium) batteries ?" The answer is, yes! Not only can you replace them with Ni-MH, but they are a better battery choice because they have advantages that their Ni-Cd counterparts do not.   Ni-MH battery advantages   1. No memory effect (compared to Ni-Cd). Ni-MH can be partially charged (for example, on a cloudy day) and fully charged to maximum capacity on the next sunny day. There is a small amount of discharge (trickle discharge) during storage, so it is best to put  Ni-MH batteries  in your garden solar lights before dawn on a sunny day. They will then be ready for you to enjoy the nighttime fun.   2. Long shelf life. They can remain unused for between 3 and 5 years. However, we recommend that you use new Ni-MH rechargeable batteries as soon as possible to ensure that these solar lights always shine.   3. Ni-MH rechargeable batteries for solar lights

Difference between LiFePO4 batteries and Li-ion polymer batteries

Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4, LFP) batteries Lithium iron phosphate is a lithium-ion polymer battery that uses LiFePO4 as the cathode material and a metal-backed graphite carbon electrode as the anode. The LiFePO4 battery, also known as the LFP battery, is a rechargeable battery.  It is the safest type of lithium battery on the market today.  It is small, lightweight, and has a cycle life of thousands of cycles.   Lithium-Ion Polymer (LIPO) Batteries A lithium-ion polymer battery is a rechargeable battery that works primarily on the movement of lithium ions between the positive and negative electrodes. Lithium-ion batteries use an embedded lithium compound as the electrode material. The commonly used lithium-ion battery cathode materials are lithium cobaltate (LCO battery), lithium manganate (LMO battery), ternary lithium-ion (NCA, NMC battery), and lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4 battery).   The difference between LiFePO4 battery and other lithium-ion batteries Inherit some advanta

What type of batteries are used in emergency lights?

Emergency Lighting Batteries All emergency lights and illuminated emergency exit signs use batteries to power the lights. To ensure the continuous readiness and operation of the emergency lights, these batteries are rechargeable. The circuitry within the emergency lights both charges the batteries and ensures that they remain charged. Types of batteries used in emergency lights There are two types of batteries used in emergency lights : 1. Sealed lead-acid batteries (same type as for cars) 2. Nickel-cadmium batteries Sealed lead-acid batteries are the oldest rechargeable technology. They are called lead-acid because they contain lead alloy plates that are immersed in acid. The acid breaks down the plates and produces electrons that are charged, i.e. electricity. More recently, the technology of lead-acid batteries has been improved to allow for fully sealed cells that do not require the addition of water to maintain the acidity. How we choose the emergency light batteries The two types
